Ticket bundling with pricing groups and sections

Created on 13 Jun 2025

Overview

You can now bundle tickets together using pricing groups and sections, giving you a streamlined way to offer multiple ticket types to customers through a single link. This new functionality works alongside existing constraints and provides greater flexibility in how you present tickets to different audiences.

How bundling works

Pricing group bundles

Pricing groups allow you to group related ticket types together and share them via a direct link. When customers visit this link, they'll see only the tickets within that specific pricing group if hide other pricing groups is enabled.

Key features:

  • Generate a direct link to any pricing group
  • Option to hide other pricing groups when customers visit the link
  • Bundle multiple ticket types under one organised group
Section bundles

Sections work similarly to pricing groups but organise tickets by event areas, times, or other logical groupings. Each section can have its own direct link for targeted marketing.

Key features:

  • Generate a direct link to any section
  • Option to hide other sections when customers visit the link
  • Perfect for venue areas, time slots, or experience packages

Setting up ticket bundles

Creating a pricing group bundle
  1. Navigate to your event's pricing group settings
  2. Create or select an existing pricing group
  3. Add your desired ticket types to the pricing group
  4. Ensure all ticket types in the bundle are set to visible or Sold out
  5. Choose whether to "Hide other pricing groups" when customers visit this link
  6. Obtain the direct link for the pricing group by clicking on its name
Creating a section bundle
  1. Go to your event's section configuration
  2. Create or select an existing section
  3. Add your chosen pricing groups to the section
  4. Make sure all ticket types in the pricing group are visible or Sold out
  5. Select "Hide other sections" if you want customers to see only this section's tickets
  6. Obtain the direct link for the section by clicking on its name

Important requirements

Visibility settings

For bundling to work properly, all ticket types within a bundled pricing group or section must be set to visible. Hidden ticket types within a bundle will not display to customers, even when accessing the bundle via direct link.

Using bundles with constraints

You can continue using constraints alongside the new bundling functionality. This gives you even more control over ticket availability and purchasing rules within your bundles.

Best practices

Organising your bundles
  • Group complementary tickets together (e.g., VIP package with parking and merchandise)
  • Use clear, descriptive names for your pricing groups and sections
  • Consider your customer journey when deciding which tickets to bundle
  • Use pricing group links for customer segment targeting (e.g., corporate packages, student discounts)
  • Use section links for venue-specific promotions (e.g., front-row seats, general admission areas)
  • Include bundle links in targeted email campaigns or social media posts
Managing visibility
  • Regularly review which pricing groups and sections are hidden or visible
  • Use the "hide other" options strategically to create focused purchasing experiences
  • Remember that customers can still access your main event page to see all available tickets that are not in a hidden section or pricing group
  • Hidden ticket types within a bundle still operate the same way and can be accessed via a direct ticket type link

Common use cases

Corporate packages

Create a pricing group containing business tickets, catering options, and parking passes. Share the direct link with corporate clients who only need to see relevant options.

VIP experiences

Bundle premium tickets with exclusive merchandise and meet-and-greet opportunities in a single pricing group for easy VIP customer access.

Venue sections

Organise tickets by seating areas or standing zones, allowing customers to purchase multiple tickets within their preferred section without being overwhelmed by other options.

Early bird promotions

Create time-limited bundles in hidden pricing groups, sharing direct links only with subscribers or loyal customers.

Troubleshooting

Bundle not displaying correctly
  • Check that all ticket types in the bundle are set to visible
  • Verify the pricing group or section contains the expected ticket types
  • Ensure the direct link is generated correctly
Customers seeing unwanted options
  • Review your "hide other pricing groups" or "hide other sections" settings
  • Check if any ticket types are incorrectly assigned to multiple groups or sections
Constraints not working with bundles
  • Verify constraint settings are properly configured
  • Remember that constraints work alongside bundles, not instead of them
  • Test the customer experience to ensure constraints apply as expected
