Packages

What are packages?
Packages allow event organisers to bundle multiple ticket types together at a set price, creating value packs, group bookings, family passes, and discount offers for attendees. When customers purchase a package, they receive all individual tickets included in that bundle.
Packages appear alongside regular ticket options in your event's ticket pricing selection, giving you flexibility to offer special deals while maintaining control over your ticketing strategy.
How packages work
When a customer purchases a package, they receive separate individual tickets for each item included in the bundle. For example:
- A "10 friends" package containing 10 x General Admission tickets will issue 10 separate General Admission tickets to the buyer
- A "Family pass" package with 2 x Adult and 2 x Child tickets will issue 2 Adult tickets and 2 Child tickets
Packages draw from your existing ticket type inventory. If there aren't enough individual tickets available to fulfil a package purchase, the package will show as sold out.
Setting up packages
Prerequisites
Before creating a package, you must first create the individual ticket types you want to include, or use existing ticket types. Packages can only be built from existing ticket types in your event.
For example, to create a "Family pass" package with 2 x Adult and 2 x Child tickets, you need to have already created both "Adult" and "Child" ticket types.
Creating a new package
To create a package, you'll need to provide:
Basic package information:
- Package name (e.g., "Family pass", "Group of 10", "VIP table")
- Package price
- Package capacity (total number of tickets available for sale for the package)

Package contents:
- Select which ticket types to include
- Specify the quantity of each ticket type per package

Pricing and visibility:
- Choose which pricing group the package belongs to
- Set optional start and end dates/times for package availability
- Configure visibility settings (Active, Sold out, or Hidden)
- Active: Package is visible and available for purchase
- Sold out: Package appears as sold out (useful for temporary unavailability)
- Hidden: Package is not visible on the public event page, but you can obtain a secret link to share directly with specific customers

Pricing groups and display order
Packages appear after regular ticket types within their assigned pricing group. If you want packages to display above other tickets, create a separate pricing group for your packages and reorder your pricing groups accordingly.
Availability settings
Sale period: Set specific start and end dates/times when the package will be available for purchase. Leave blank to make the package available for the entire event sale period.
Package examples and use cases

- "Student group" - 8 x Student tickets with group pricing
Family offerings:
- "Family pass" - 2 x Adult + 2 x Child tickets
- "Family plus" - 2 x Adult + 3 x Child + 1 x Senior tickets
Premium experiences:
- "VIP table for 6" - 6 x VIP tickets + 1 x Table reservation
- "Corporate package" - 10 x Business class tickets + 2 x Parking passes
Group bookings:
- "Team table" - 8 x General Admission for sporting events
- "School group" - 20 x Student tickets at reduced pricing
Important restrictions
Waitlists: Packages cannot be selected in waitlist settings.
Vouchers: Discount vouchers cannot be applied to package purchases, as packages are already considered discounted offerings.
Inventory dependency: Package availability depends on the inventory of individual ticket types. If any included ticket type sells out, the package will become unavailable.
Best practices
Strategic pricing: Price packages to provide clear value compared to purchasing individual tickets separately.
Clear naming: Use descriptive package names that clearly communicate what's included (e.g., "Family of 4" rather than "Package A").
Inventory management: Monitor your individual ticket type sales to ensure package availability aligns with your event capacity planning.
Promotional strategy: Use hidden packages with secret links for exclusive offers to specific customer groups or early access promotions.
Pricing group organisation: Consider creating dedicated pricing groups for packages to control their display position and improve the customer booking experience.
Troubleshooting
Package shows as sold out: Check that all included ticket types have sufficient inventory available.
Package not displaying: Verify the package is set to "Active" and check the sale start/end dates are configured correctly.
Customers can't find packages: Ensure packages are in the correct pricing group and consider the display order of your pricing groups on the event page.
