How to use form templates

Form template hierarchy and types
In your organiser profile, you can create and manage form templates that collect information from attendees, customers, or members. Forms can exist at different levels, depending on how and where you want to use them.
There are three main form template types:
- Ticket type – Linked to a ticket type. Each ticket holder is asked to complete this form during checkout, often used to collect personal details or preferences (like name, dietary requirements, or shirt size).
- Checkout – Shown once per order, before payment. This collects information from the buyer, such as contact details, invoice information, or confirmation of terms and conditions.
- Standalone webform – A separate form connected to your event but not part of ticketing or checkout. It has its own link and submissions page, suitable for volunteer sign-ups, competitions, or special requests.
Organiser webforms
Organiser webforms are created at the organiser level and aren’t tied to a specific event. They’re perfect for ongoing tasks like membership registration or general enquiries.
- Always open forms – Organiser webforms can be published as standalone webform with their own URL that stay open for submissions indefinitely, with their own URL and submissions list.
Event webforms
Event webforms are created for a specific event. Good for event feedback, volunteer onboarding, artist submissions, or additional requests
Example uses
- Organiser webform: Membership or volunteer registration that stays open all year.
- Ticket type form: Collecting individual attendee details for each ticket.
- Checkout form: Asking the buyer to agree to conditions or provide billing details.
- Standalone event form: Gathering expressions of interest or special entry requests.
