Affiliate and link tracking

The Affiliate and Link Code Tracking feature allows event organisers to create and track sales through custom links. When users visit your event page using a tracking link, you can monitor both clicks and sales associated with that link.

How it works
  • Affiliate Codes can be manually created by the event organiser or auto-generated by adding a specific parameter to the event URL.
  • Once the tracking link is used by someone who visits the event page, all clicks and sales made via that link will be tracked in the system.
How to create an affiliate tracking link
  1. Manually create a code

    • Log in to your dashboard.
    • Go to the Affiliate Codes section under your event promotions tab.
    • Click Create Code and assign a name to your affiliate code (e.g., my-event-partner).
    • This code can now be used to track visits and sales.
  2. Auto-generate a code

    • Simply add the ?ac=newsletter parameter to the end of your event URL.
    • Example:
If your event URL is undiscovered.events/my-event, your affiliate tracking URL would look like:
      undiscovered.events/my-event?ac=my-code
    • Replace my-code with any custom identifier you want for the affiliate.

Affiliate codes are automatically generated in the following cases:

  • Email campaigns will contain links with a code generated from the subject of the email.
  • Waitlist offer emails will contain links with a code generated from the waitlist name.
Tracking clicks and sales
  • After you’ve created your affiliate codes and shared the links, you can track their performance.
  • Go to the Affiliate codes section in your dashboard to view:
    • Number of clicks on each affiliate link.
    • Number of sales generated through those links.
    • Earnings associated with each affiliate code.
Tips
  • Use descriptive names for your codes to easily identify partners or campaigns.
  • Share different tracking links with different partners or social media platforms to monitor their individual performance.
  • Some examples of good affiliate code names include:
    • my-event-partner
    • my-facebook-event
    • event-newsletter-24-4-2025
    • my-website
    • promoter-name

This simple feature helps track the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns, partners, and social media platform promotions.
