Introduction

This guide explains how to create and manage discount voucher codes for your events. Vouchers are a powerful marketing tool that can help boost ticket sales and provide special offers to your attendees.

Types of vouchers

As an event organiser, you can create two types of vouchers:

  • Event-specific vouchers: Apply to a single event only
  • Global vouchers: Apply across all events in your organiser account

Creating a voucher

To create a new voucher, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the "Promotions" section in your event, or the "Vouchers" section in your organiser dashboard
  2. Click "Create voucher"
  3. Fill in the voucher details (see below)
  4. Save your voucher

Voucher options

When creating a voucher, you'll need to set the following options:

Code

Enter a unique coupon code that attendees will use at checkout. Choose something memorable and relevant to your promotion.

Maximum uses

Set the number of times a voucher can be redeemed. For unlimited uses, leave blank for no limits.

Type

Choose between:

  • Fixed: A specific dollar amount off the ticket price
  • Percentage: A percentage discount off the ticket price
Ticket types

Select which ticket types the voucher applies to:

  • All ticket types. Leave unelected for to apply the discount to all of your ticket types.
  • Specific ticket types (e.g. VIP, Early Bird, General Admission)
Amount

Enter the discount value:

  • For fixed vouchers: The dollar amount (e.g. $10.00)
  • For percentage vouchers: The percentage value (e.g. 15%)
Expiry date

Set a date when the voucher will automatically expire and become invalid. Leave blank if you don't want the voucher to expire.

Notes

Add private comments about the voucher for your reference. These notes are only visible to organisers, not to attendees.

Managing vouchers

You can view, edit or delete vouchers from the "Vouchers" section of your dashboard. The dashboard also shows usage statistics for each voucher.

Best Practices

  • Use clear, memorable codes that relate to your promotion
  • Set appropriate usage limits to protect your revenue
  • Consider time-limited vouchers to create urgency
  • Track which vouchers perform best to inform future promotions
