Sections
Sections help organise your event into areas where sections, seats, spaces, groups, transport or rooms where your customers can book their place. You can set the capacity and pricing groups for each section of your event separately.
By default, one section is added when you create an event. An event may have multiple sections.
Capacity
A section's capacity will override a ticket type's allocation that's assigned to it.
For example if your section's capacity is set to 100 and you have two ticket types that have an allocation of 100 each. When the number of ticket sales reach 100 then both of your ticket types will sellout and not be available to purchase regardless of the remaining allocation left on each ticket type.
If you need to control the number of sales and pricing scheme for each ticket type individually then create a new section and assign a pricing group to it. Then assign the ticket type to the pricing group you've selected for the section.
Section, Pricing Group and Session Relationship
Sections are the hub of your pricing scheme. Sessions and pricing groups are assigned to your sections. Without assigning either of these your ticket types won't appear on the sales page
Consider the following hierarchy:
Session -> Section -> Pricing Group -> Ticket Type
