Introduction

This guide will help you create your personalised Platform on our events website. The Platform feature lets you white label our site with your own branding, making it appear as your own custom events solution.

What is a platform?

A Platform is your branded version of our events website. When you create a Platform, visitors will see your branding, colours and design elements throughout the user experience, giving the impression that the site belongs to your organisation.

Setting up your platform

You may only create a platform when logged into the main undiscovered site.

Start by clicking My platforms link on the left sidebar

You will see a list of platforms that you have access to

To the right, click Create platform

Step 1: Basic details

Begin by entering the following information:

• Platform name: This is the name of your organisation or event series
• Subdomain prefix: This will form your unique URL (e.g., yourname.undiscovered.events)
• BYO domain name: You can install your own TLD. (e.g., yourcompany.com) You will need to make DNS change so that it points to our servers
• Description: A brief summary of your organisation or event series
• Contact details: Your email address and phone number for enquiries

Step 2: Brand colours

Select two colours that represent your brand:

• Primary colour: This will be used for main elements like headers and buttons
• Secondary colour: This will be used for accents and highlights

Choose colours that match your existing brand guidelines for a consistent look and feel.

Step 3: Graphical assets

You'll need to upload several graphical elements:

Required assets:

• Logo (Light version): Your logo optimised for display on light backgrounds (SVG format)
• Logo (Dark version): Your logo optimised for display on dark backgrounds (SVG format)
• Symbol/Favicon: A simplified version of your logo or brand mark (PNG format)
• Background image: An image that represents your brand (PNG/JPG format)

• Use vector graphics (SVG) for logos to ensure they look crisp at any size
• Make sure your logos have transparent backgrounds
• Choose a simple background image that won't distract from page information
• Test your colour choices for accessibility and readability
• Keep your Platform name short and memorable for an easy-to-remember URL

After setup

Once you've completed the Platform setup, you'll gain access to your white-labelled events site at your chosen subdomain. You can then start adding and managing events through your personalised dashboard.
