Number four represents the square, yet if you're receiving this invitation — you're anything but square! It also symbolises the construction of a sturdy foundation and your contribution has been invaluable in shaping ours.

This chapter, we delve into the depth of symbolism and significance embodied by the number four. As we embrace the four elements — earth, water, fire and air — we draw connections with the four seasons, the four directions on the compass and the four phases of the moon, exploring how these aspects influence our daily lives.

We invite you to think outside the box as you prepare to ride this next wave. Remember, Waves Retreat is dedicated to acts of kindness through the art of gifting. The true value of a gift lies in its unconditionality — it transcends expectations of reciprocity. A gift is simply given for the joy of giving.

1. INVITE POLICY — Read carefully!

This event is exclusively for invited guests.

However, if you have previously been to waves you are welcome to extend invitations to three friends if you think they would be a great fit for our community.

Just remember, since this is a PRIVATE & CURATED AFFAIR, please keep our guiding principles in mind when introducing new members to our special gathering.

2. WAVES RETREAT FORMAT — This is NOT A FESTIVAL. This is a RETREAT.

In line with the essence of this stunning venue and the TR direction, we prioritise the RETREAT elements of our gathering. This means more fun in the sun, more daytime activities, more live music and earlier finishes to the night for more stargazing, night time entertainment, performances and connection.

DANCE MUSIC WILL STOP AT MIDNIGHT.

3. GIFTING & CONTRIBUTIONS — Your participation is expected!

Waves is about sharing — Everybody gives, everybody receives!

Our community embraces a deeply participatory philosophy. We firmly believe that genuine transformation, whether at an individual or societal level, can only arise through engagement.

You can propose something you'd like to run solo or in a group, such as sharing , teaching or showing a special skill, gifting the community with something to eat or drink, running a talk, workshop, game or performance — the sky is the limit.

Otherwise, on arrival the TR Crew will assign you a team.

This can involve beautifying the space, helping to light the campfires at night, helping in the kitchen making community treats, amongst other things.

4. VEHICLE PASSES — All vehicles must purchase a vehicle pass.

Make sure you are prepared for your parking options.

In order to maximise space we have a designated free CAR PARK next door for those vehicles that do not need to be on-site. (A shuttle service will be available)

VEHICLE PARKING OPTIONS:

1. CAR PARK —  FREE

I want to sleep in a tent & park my car in the designated car park offsite.

2. VANS & CARS — $50

I want to sleep in a vehicle which is under 2 tonne eg. Toyota Hiace Van or 4WD w/ roof-top tent

3. EXTRA SPACE — $80

I want to sleep in a tent & park my car next to it.

4. LARGE VEHICLES — $80

I want to sleep in a large vehicle bigger than 2 tonne, eg. large Ford Transit, RV or car with trailer
